This is the launch and online film for the Ferrari F8 Spider. The brief was for high energy sound design whilst making the car’s engine sound aggressive as possible throughout. In the context of a full mix this was a bit of a challenge, particularly in creating a sense of dynamic interest across the film, but with some careful balance the result is an exciting and interesting film with lots of energy throughout. It has a nice dip in the middle to avoid wearing out the listener and to make space for the crescendo to the final section. Here the music builds and the engine really has a chance to shine. It was a lot of fun to get my hands on the Ferrari engine sounds and build the sound design for this very nicely shot film.
