Audio restoration can fix a number of problems: excess background noise, distortion, wind, lavalier microphone cloth rustle to name just a few. Lots of issues can be mitigated and sometimes eradicated completely (though most of the time a reduction is the best solution).
For optimum results it needs a careful, precise ear and a deftness of touch. Poor quality restoration can be littered with artifacts and end up sounding robotic and unnatural. Knowing how far to go, the right tools to use and what can and can’t realistically be done is paramount. I have many years of experience restoring dialogue for broadcast and am happy to give you an idea of what is possible. I have the latest software and best hardware tools for the job.
Restoration can be a time consuming business so it makes sense to get it done without big studio overheads! Get in touch and I can give you a quote on saving you from expensive re-records and ADR, you might be surprised at how much can be saved!
